7 Reasons An All-Exclusive Vacation is Not For You

When deciding whether to book an all-exclusive or an all-inclusive vacation, there are quite a few things to think about before making your decision. While doing your research into what kind of places you might be interested in, consider these seven reasons why an all-exclusive vacation may not be for you, and why you might be better sticking to an all-inclusive vacation offering instead.

You Have a Strict Budget

All-inclusive resorts actually do mean ‘all-inclusive’, from your meals to jamaica_ drinks2(1)activities and even gratuities, everything is included. This is the way to go if you don’t want to accidentally spend more than you intended on vacation, and a set price is much easier to save for.

You Are Comfortable with Familiarity

If you don’t mind the same items on the buffet every day and the same scenery for a week (or more, depending on the length of your vacation), then an all-inclusive resort is probably something you might prefer.

You Prefer Buffet Dining

Not every all-inclusive has buffets all the time, but if you prefer to have some choice with every meal (maybe you are a bit of a picky eater), then an all-inclusive resort with buffet dining is for you. All-exclusive vacations usually include the service of chefs, and while they’ll cook what you want, they’re much happier when they can introduce their guests to the local flavors.

You Want a Resort Experience

It’s easier for the kids to find something to do at a resort that offers kids clubs and activities for them to do while you slip away with your love for a walk on the beach or to the bar for a drink.

You Have No Desire to Venture Off the Resort

If you don’t care to visit any of the neighboring cities or see any cultural sites, an all-inclusive resort may be of interest to you. They offer all kinds of activities on site and most of them have on site beaches as well so you are never far from your resort.

You Don’t Mind Sharing

A lot of people at the bars or pools doesn’t bother you and you don’t need the help of the wait staff constantly and don’t mind waiting for a drink. You are cool with sharing your time and space with fellow vacation-goers and don’t mind a slightly busier experience when dining.

You Prefer a Hotel to a Villa

A villa might be too big for just the two of you, or perhaps you prefer the amenities that a hotel offers. If you are more situated for the hotel lifestyle, an all-inclusive resort is probably the best option for you.
