It is an accepted fact in Jamaica that the best food on the island is prepared by the villa cooks.  Your cook at Jamaica Ocean View Villa is no exception.  Millicent can prepare a wide variety of dishes, ranging from Jamaican to European and North American cuisine.  Please take a look at our sample menus and consider the delicious dishes you would like prepared for your party to enjoy.  Your arrival cocktails, first dinner and breakfast are on the house.  Subsequently, you may leave the rest of your meals to Millicent or have her help you plan your choices.

With our colorful heritage, Jamaican cuisine includes influences from Africa, India, Spain and England.  We, of course, have our own Blue Mountain coffee, which will be freshly brewed for you whenever you fancy a cup.  And an amazing variety of fresh tropical fruit and juices.

At Jamaica Ocean View Villa, Millicent makes sure your dining experience is a memorable one by introducing your palate to a new delight at every meal.   When deciding your menus, Millicent will let you know which ingredients are in season and at their best in the fresh food markets and from the fishermen who bring in fresh crab and lobster.

At the dining table, whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will all be treated like royalty.  Meals are served colonial-style, with the butler and servers offering each dish at your side before laying it on the table.   Of course, couples may also order romantic candlelight dinners brought to their private bedroom balconies.

Jamaican breakfast is a real cultural adventure you must try.  In addition to bacon, eggs and toast, there is plenty of fresh fruit, Blue Mountain Coffee and, of course, Bully Beef and Johnny Cakes.  Bully Beef is corned beef hash, spiced up Jamaican-style and Johnny Cakes are similar to American biscuits.

When your Jamaican vacation comes to an end, we will be happy to provide you with complimentary packages to bring back home with you.   Perhaps on a winter weekend, recreate the memories of your Jamaican villa vacation, or simply to surprise your friends with the wonderful flavors of Jamaican cuisine.

We like to stock up the bar and pantry, with at least some of your favorites, before you arrive.  Although we have menu suggestions for you to choose from, including wine, beer and beverage lists, we will happily try to accommodate any request.

Weather and time permitting, upon your arrival, may we suggest a picnic and cocktails on the beach?
